I purchased 7 of these and I use them to build a prototype where these motors have to pivot an assembly by 87 degrees. They are quiet and while I had to write code to start them at low speed and increase the speed as they are moving, and also need them to release their hold every time a move is complete, they are always precise and don't miss a step. I use the STEPPERONLINE CNC Stepper Motor Driver 1.0-4.2A 20-50VDC to drive them and I feed it with a 24 Volt power supply. At this voltage, they pull about 1/2 an amp when holding. However, I should mention that one of them has pinched wires close to the motor but I take it this was a shipping issue and don't think I should reduce any stars for it. Where do you find a driver with 3.2 VDC anyway? **Q: does it work with MB450A Driver?** A: Yes, that is the driver I use with thi s motor. **Q: What is the max RPM?** A: I'm not sure. Steppers are more usually used for precise movements than for speed, and the maximum speed most mostly reflects the maximum frequency and minimum microstep ratio of the driver. I doubt it exceeds 1000 rpm, if that high. **Q: I am planning on using this to move 100 lbs down a rack pinion track while supporting the weight with bearing carriages on rails. Will this do that?** A: You need to know your desired maximum acceleration, static and dynamic friction and gear ratio.
