I have bought 4 of these rods in the last 2 years, others from Bass Pro Shop, but they are now cheaper on Amazon. Strong, light weight, sensitive. Combined with my Battle II and III Penn reels, I have the best of the best for inshore reds. I am putting all my "more expensive" spinning rods into retirement. FYI, Oil the eyes because saltwater will eventually cause them to rust. Light weight but good enough backbone to bring in a large fish. I've used Ugly Stiks for almost 30 years. I had about a dozen and never has one broken. This one got hung up on a rock, and trying to dislodge it, it snapped in two. The top half is at the bottom of a canal. I did nothing more than I've done with any other rod. This was my first time using the Inshore Select 7'6" medium 1 piece.
