I like to use it in hot but not scalding water with just a little Dawn Ultra. It's great for refurbishing dingy colors. It's NOT bleach, it alters the PH of the water depending on how much you add to the water. So if you have hard water this stuff is wonderful. I soak cleaning rags in my sink with this stuff, some detergent, and hot water. I use a big wooden spoon to stir it around for a couple of minutes and leave them to soak. Takes all the stains out. It's great for baby stains, it's non toxic. Soda Ash, or Washing Soda they are the same thing.
