Is the ink lightfast** A: The ink does not fade, although it dissolves if the paper gets wet even after the ink has dried. There is not even a faint image left; you cannot tell what had been written on the page. I do not know whether it is lightfast. These pens have a very pleasant, smooth feel against paper, and you can see the remaining ink level in the barrel. **Q: 1) are this pens smudge free ? 2) do this pens leak in general ? 3) would you recommend these pens for left-handed writers ?** A: From a fellow left-hander, I do not have a problem with smudging, although it may have to do with how you position your hand (across what you have just written or angled somewhat so your hand is below the fresh ink). They smudge if you do not give the ink a few moments to dry. Once dry, the ink will still run if it gets wet. The pens do not leak and have a very smooth feel against paper. My only negative comment is that they do not last long as a pen with the usual plastic tube of ink. Not sure whether they are recyclable. **Q: Do these pens still use water-based ink? I used to use these at work and any ink stains on clothes would was right out.** A: I believe so but I would check with Staples first to confirm. I've also never had any issues with ink stains not coming out. **Q: The package I received was a set of Blue pens. Not as advertised! How can we resolve this??** A: The pens I bought were blue ink, but that’s what I wanted.
