From blunt to razor-sharp in no-time! - Each of the three sharpening slots uses a different sharpening method. The first slot contains two small diamond sharpening stones with grain size 270. Relatively coarse and therefore perfect for the first sharpening phase to restore a blunt edge. - Step two is the ceramic sharpening wheel with grain 150. A coarser grain than the diamond stones, but with a less aggressive function. Finally you use two ceramic sharpening steels for step three. These have a grain size of 1000 and are, as a result, perfect when polishing the edge - The KAI knife sharpener has a stylish and solid design and is easy to take with you. If you don't use it you can easily store the sharpener in a transparent plastic cover to make sure no dust or dirt can get caught in between the slots. You need to glide 5 times each and sharpening is done. **Q: Some customers mention that they received used product.Instead of sraled box they got opened product.Is i comes in a sealed box??** A: All products are made in Japan and the same is shipped to end customer the way it is shipped from Japan. In knives yes we have sealed product, but sharpener its not needed to seal it.
