So I thought I'd give the Commuter series a try for my 5s. I like the colors of the case: the shell is a very vibrant pink and the rubber part is a deep purple (even tho I believe the discription on here claims it's blue). The colors contrast nicely together. I know in true Otterbox form my phone will be protected no matter what but there a few things I'm a little disappointed with. It may be my fault for not reading the product discription closely enough but I was under the impression there was a screen protector attached to the case like the defender series cases. However, this is not the case. There is a very thin plastic protector you have to put on yourself and it was such a pain I gave up and threw it away. Next, the bottom of the case does not fully cover the phone, only the charger and ear bud ports. Which would be fine but the covers are,again, not fully attached to the case so they do not completely seal shut. It was also difficult to get the shell over the rubber peice once I had my phone inside. I was even worried for a minute my phone was not going to fit the way it should. Again, Otterbox cases are very durable and worth the extra money, I was just expecting a little bit more I guess! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Seller good but product not so good... *by B***B on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on May 23, 2014* The transaction with the seller was fine but I was not real impressed with the product. The case didn't line up very well with the phone's functional buttons. The left side actually laid on top of my upper volume button making it impossible to adjust up or down. My husband had to take the case off and use a tool to shave a portion of it off so it would lay correctly. Also, once the case was on, it was extremely difficult for him to take off and a small piece cracked. I would have returned it but I had just spent a ton of money replacing my cracked screen so I was desperate for a more protective case. Within a few days - I ended up popping off the clear protector screen because it got dirty quickly and it was difficult to use my touch screen. Also, the opening to the on/off sound button is not the best size. I have small fingers and it's difficult to use - I can do it but not very quickly which is bummer because I used that on and off every day before. Once I worked through all of that, the case has been fine. I do like the size - not as bulky as other Otter Box cases that I have seen and I like the color. Over all, I'd say that this product was not produced as well as other versions of the Otter Box - to the point that we wondered if it were counterfeit. The packaging looked ligit but the way t didn't line up made it a questionable product. My 3 star rating is an average between the sellers transaction (5) and the quality of the product (1). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maybe I expected too much? *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 26, 2014* Pros: I originally purchased this because it was slimmer than the Defender series, but still did the job, according to the reviews. They were correct, it's not too bulky and the hard, plastic back makes it easy to slip in and out of a back pocket.The colors are nice, even though the silicone case looks more blue in the picture, and the actual product is leaning more towards purple.The charger and headphone outlets are protected as well, which is really great to have.The power button really isn't that hard to press, just more difficult than a case-less iPhone, which is understandable.Cons: About a week after getting it, I somehow got a crack in the plastic near the camera hole, but I don't recall dropping it.
