The gsensor has two types, one is the gsensor when the car is driving, and the other is the gsensor in the parking monitoring state. These two are non-interfering with each other. If you do not install the hardwire kit, gsensor only detects collisions and locks the video being recorded while the car is running. When the vehicle is turned off, the dash cam will shut down directly and will no longer record. If you have installed the hardwire kit and set up the gsensor in the parking monitoring, the gsensor will detect the collision and save the video when the car is driving and after the car is turned off. Ideal for Dubai traffic. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Video quality ok but not great *by R***E on 14 December 2023* Although the 4K resolution is there, video compression is so great, you can't see any plate numbers unless the car is really about to hit you. Keep in mind this is 4K over 170 degree angle of view. Also you need to spend more and buy the "optional cable" for parking sentry mode, which is mentioned in the description, but not clearly enough. Without this optional cable the camera powers off when you turn the ignition off. This item cannot be powered by a battery bank or by a normal usb car charger. I tried a couple of chargers to keep my lighter free for other usb devices and none worked. I also tried a battery bank and although I successfully turned the device on, I wasn't able to activate parking sentry mode. The "optional cable" is mandatory for this parking feature to work! The app is ok, but every time you want to connect the phone you have to open the camera menu in the camera and activate the wifi because this feature is set to OFF every time the camera is powered on, which is every time you turn on your car if you don't have the "optional cable" sold separately.
