She had an electric kettle however she hated it. She had one previously that beeped when it was finished boiling and loved that feature. So when she got the one she had she figured it was going to have that also but was sadly mistaken. I read the reviews and watched the videos that people posted and was pleasantly impressed with this one. So I purchased it for her. Since then she uses daily. It boils fast. It beeps. It has a keep warm setting. It has an auto shut off after a while. She absolutely loves it! Her favorite feature is the keep warm setting that we were unaware of, so that after you boil your water other people at breakfast can come and get tea as they stagger in and not have to keep boiling the water.
