## Description

Reflecting the best of its Finnish heritage, the Finn Bear is ideal for use in the great outdoors, and makes an efficient utility knife as well! Its sub-zero quenched German 4116 Stainless blade is hollow ground and given an RC of 56-57 so it will hold its edge well while remaining easy to re-sharpen in the field. The Finn Bear has a sturdy point for piercing and plenty of belly for skinning and carving. It’s big and strong enough to skin large game, yet thin and delicate enough to slice a tomato or cut an apple. The durable Polypropylene handle has a modified diamond cross-section that will fit your hand like a glove and accommodate a wide variety of gripping methods. Review: This is a very good bush knife for the price. - This is a very good bush knife. Some traditional folks don't like a poly handle. Okay wood is much cooler. This thing is lite, come sharp, scandi grind, grip fits my hand nice, seems to hold an edge. It is a back up knife, so I have only had it out to feather, minor work on notches, light process of fire wood about 8 or 10 times. Comparable to a mora, very good durable weather resistant knife. good slim dee sheath.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is this a scandal grind or is it just an aesthetic?**
A: the grind is not a total SCANDI grind but has a small flat grind at the edge...rather simple to put the SCANDI grind on with a small belt sander.

**Q: Does this Finn Bear come with a cor-ex sheath or the plastic secure-ex® sheath?**
A: It still says cor-ex sheath, but I bought two and they both came with secure-ex

**Q: Where is this knife made?  The Mora's are made in Sweden but i cant find the country of orgin for the fin bear**
A: As I understand all the steel is shipped from Cold Steel California to Taiwan were they are made being then stamped on their blades as being made in Taiwan. These are a great value as are my favorite any Mora.

**Q: Does this item have a good spine for sparking ferro or do I need to file it?**
A: I think it's a good camp knife that clips on your belt or day pack easily. I never tried it on a ferro rod. But the blade is stainless steel. Carbon steel blades work much better for that purpose.

I just received the knife literally an hour ago, and I'm very impressed. Razor sharp, flawless, light-weight, good looking, affordable, and damn-near indestructible. What more can I say? Now that there are no more restrictions on blade-carry in Texas, I'll make this my EDC. Great knife, great buy! :)
