I have also used an oil spray (lightly coated) and no spray. So it really depends on what you are baking or making - and whether you are going to leave in the tin or remove.... I've done both. I have a crustless pumpkin pie recipe that worked out fabulous -- sprayed the tin -- they were easy to remove -- but they also looked cute in the tin.... but this was for an event, and I really wanted the tins back, which probably was not going to happen at an event. Brownies -- ugh -- so so..... i turned them upside down and popped them on the bottom and they came out, for the most part. I made my fudge pecan pie in these --- so I had to roll pie crust into a ball and then mold to the tin.... again - lightly spray the tins for easier removal. But they are cuter left in the tins.
