It took a bit of fiddling to figure out how to use, but after that, I was able to back up all of my photos to the drive. It was not necessary to do one at a time as another review said. I just backed up my Camera Roll and everything was there - my albums, my pictures. I was then able to plug into my laptop and move to my picture manager. I have Windows 7 and am not crazy about the Picture Manager that came with the laptop; however, I created folders and selected and moved pictures. That was the only time consuming part - but that's on the PC side of things. I deleted 99% of the pictures on my iphone 6, freeing up a chunk of memory. I will back up probably to a CD or other medium since the drive is so small - I'm afraid of losing it!
