It didn't take much effort with a pair of kitchen shears. I'm very pleased with the custom fit. Every area of carpet is covered and protected. It looks and functions so well. They were worth every penny and I'm very pleased. These were installed in a 2008 PT cruiser which, amazingly and apparently, has more floor space than a full size truck, which were the liners I tried at the store and were too small. The product itself is good just didn't work out too well for me cs it didn't fit my car too well even after I trimmed it. But thats user mistake and not really on the product itself.
