My mistake, I figured as vast majority of HVAC stuff seems to be imperial, 1/4, 3/8's etc. that it would fit my ElectriQ mini split system small pipe but does not grip what turned out to be 6mm (outer). 1/4 = 6.35mm so just pushes the pipe through & not flare. I guess either the large pipe is 3/8 or close enough metric/imperial. The originals were bubble flare. But the tool I had previous would not flare properly. So sent it back.
