It can hold a surprising amount and is strong, not flimsy. I bought two bottles of coke and put them in. Really happy with it and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. Lightweight, enough pockets and sections to stay organized without having too many places to lose things, easy zippers, a dark colour for the grimy winter and the size is great- not so small that people will think it’s a child’s backpack but not so big that you look like you should be on a trail instead of running errands. I love the long straps so you can hang it low and the side gathered pockets actually hold a standard water bottle. I took the front rubber name patch off mine with a seam ripper and embroidered the flap so that it would be a little more ‘me’ as it is very plain. It’s also water resistant which is great when you live in a rainy area!As far as storage space- tons. can bring all my ‘large purse’ items and a book AND a small knitting project.
