We did not have contiguous space, so we mounted a board to the wall and then used screws to add one piece to the right of the docking station. We mounted the other piece of the back of the closet door (which is solid wood). **Q: What size are the screws provided?** A: I can’t tell you how long the screws are because the unit has been installed for over a year and we did not measure the screws before we installed it. The manufacturer should be able to answer your question. We love the product! **Q: Is this compatible with the dyson V15 detect?** A: Yes.
