You can use up to 8 PWM inputs to this flight controller, and all of the inputs available on one line if you use IBUS. the Receiver fs-ia10b has 10 inputs and IBUS.This flight controller can use Serial Rx and use the Ibus through CleanFlight, Betaflight or Race Flight ( you can use LibrePilot too,, but that would be going backwards in technology ) **Q: Does this board require only 5v to power or can it be powered with 12v?** A: Only power it with 5v unless or you want to send 12 v to everything connected to the fc. Generally that will fry the receiver you attach to the fc if you power it with 12 v (too much!) **Q: what kHz for gyro update and pid loops can this handle?** A: If you fly acro only, so no need for accelerometer you can run 8/4 and keep cpu usage to 24 to 26%. With accelerometer you can run 4/4k and will be at roughly 27% and 30% cpu usage if your running LED's... imho this board flys best running multishot at 4k/4k without accele putting cpu load at 16 to 18%.. if running accele then 2.67k/2.67k will fly nicer then 4k/4k with a much higher cpu load.. to me i notice when a board is running up around 28 to 30% cpu usage.. the board doesn't fly as good as when it's 20% and under.. to me i would rather fly a slower loop time then a board that's at 35% cpu usage.. I would take 2.67k/2.67k keeping my cpu usage well under 20% making for a better flying easier to get well tuned board then I would with it being at 8k/4k with a cpu usage of 35%.. I don't fly any f3 boards any more because with f4 boards I can run 8k/8k without accele on and be at about 14% cpu load, that board will be easy to tune and fly super good... you can pickup F4 Omnibus boards that are just plain better then the SP racing F3 boards for the same or slight less money.. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Issues at first, but seller made right. So, far this is a good FC! *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2017* Avoid this one...I initially opened the package and connected to BF to make sure it worked--it did. So I updated to the new version. No problem there either. I went ahead made all of my solder points and connections, and then begin to configure what was left to do. At this point, I realized my receiver was not working. After quite a bit of wasted time, I found the receiver was not getting power from the flight controller. So I powered the Rx from my PDB. I wasn't happy, but it worked.Then after setting up my modes, I began to test them. I discovered the buzzer did not work. I went back and checked, resoldered, checked and rechecked the solder point. Nothing. I disconnected the buzzer and checked it independent of the flight controller. It works fine...so something is wrong with those pins. Having a buzzer is mandatory for flying! I am pretty upset about it, but don't want to take it apart now.It does seem to fly well, but the issue with the receiver and buzzer made it a deal breaker. The Rx is a common problem with this clone -- I've since learned.EDIT: 7/16/17 -- Review changed from 1-star to 5-starsAfter posting this comment , the seller contacted me. I did not reach out prior. RJXHOBBY asked what would be a suitable resolution. Ultimately, they sent out a replacement. It arrived a few days ago. I finally had a chance to redo the build and test everything out. I am very pleased with this FC. It came pre-loaded with the newest version of BF. All outputs work. It has more options that you will probably need, and if you want barometer and osd through your board, purchase the Deluxe. I am no expert but from what I gathered through ample web analysis, if your flight controller has the Cleanflight logo and SP Racing F3 logo printed directly on the board it is authentic..? If it does not have it printed on it, it is said to be a knock off. Either way this seller has an authentic SP Racing F3 Flight Controller! I will buy many more! Whats not to like about this product?
