Their nylon tips produce a bright, articulate cymbal sound, making them ideal for drummers seeking enhanced power, reach, and crispness. Highly rated by professionals and beginners alike, these sticks deliver exceptional performance and longevity. ## Description For the 5AN player who wants more power and reach. Review: Better than the wood tip - These are recommended for use on mesh style electric kits, which is why I bought them. They also have much less lacquer or varnish on them so they are gripper than the wood tip ones I tried previously. Review: Best so far - These are by far the best sticks I’ve tried. Before these, I used the Promark 747s. I have also used Vater, Regal Tip, Ahead, and Zildjian sticks in the past, and these are the best by far! These have the length, balance, and forgiveness that the 747s used to have before they changed manufacturing process. These usually last me 10 hours of play. In the pictures, you can see that I play the rim a good bit, and they they last long enough for the butt to get seasoned with hand oils. Promarks simply would not last that long- they usually failed at the neck or tip region before I could break them in. The usual place these sticks fail are at the shoulder after extensive abuse. The acorn tips (I prefer the brightness of nylon) give nice warmth, definition, and feel for nice articulate sticking. The longer length (roughly 16-1/2”) give more range options for rim shots and shoulder strikes and provide better balance and feel. No stick is β€œperfect”- but these are pretty darn close. ## Features - Like our best-selling 5A, but with added length for more power, leverage, and reach - Nylon tip offers a brighter cymbal sound and added durability - Crafted from premium USA Hickory ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0002F4ZMC | | Body Material | hickory | | Brand | Vic Firth | | Brand Name | Vic Firth | | Color | Original Version | | Colour | Original Version | | Connector Type | USB | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 951 Reviews | | Finish Type | Lacquered | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00750795000852 | | Included Components | Drumsticks | | Item Dimensions | 41.9 x 1.4 x 1.4 centimeters | | Item Type Name | Drumstick | | Item Weight | 0.2 Pounds | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 41.9 x 1.4 x 1.4 centimeters | | Item weight | 0.2 Pounds | | Manufacturer | KMC Music Inc | | Material | Hickory | | Model Name | American Classic Extreme | | Model Number | 5AN | | Model name | American Classic Extreme | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | X5AN | | Set Name | American Classic | | Sound Profile | brighter | | UPC | 750795000852 750795052745 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Vic Firth - **Colour:** Original Version - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 41.9 x 1.4 x 1.4 centimeters - **Material:** Hickory - **Model name:** American Classic Extreme ## Images ![Vic Firth American Classic Extreme 5AN - Nylon Tip - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51OQpu9+N5L.jpg) ![Vic Firth American Classic Extreme 5AN - Nylon Tip - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61C5iHY3QOL.jpg) ![Vic Firth American Classic Extreme 5AN - Nylon Tip - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61obp2LerJL.jpg) ![Vic Firth American Classic Extreme 5AN - Nylon Tip - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51ilGtt6E1L.jpg) ![Vic Firth American Classic Extreme 5AN - Nylon Tip - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/612QNopBxHL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than the wood tip *by M***T on 29 May 2024* These are recommended for use on mesh style electric kits, which is why I bought them.
