The first half of the book describes the basic thoughts of the topic, while the second half leads the reader towards application of the 80/20 principle using tools and exercises (like what is your own 80/20 principle and other questions and tables). The basics are not new to me, but I was applying this know-how in business applications especially when planning projects, allocating budgets and similar. The examples might seem a little outdated (modern tools like smartphones as well as the internet play a minor role), but in general, hit the mark. Will apply some of the exercises and see when and where I reach the tipping point (title of another great book). I am not a big fan of the little one sided approach of working less, I am more into achieving better results with my time, a fact that the author only touches briefly.
