Review: Cost effective and very good looking chandelier. Needs to be patient when installing. - Installed this chandelier in place of a recessed light. Looks great and best bang for the buck. No questions. There should have been a template to drill holes on the ceiling included with the chandelier. It is difficult to hold the base and mark places to drill to put screw anchors, unless you have someone else to hold it for you. I got a piece of paper cut to the exact size of the base and marked the holes for the screws, used the template to mark the holes on the ceiling and then drilled the holes with a 1/8” drill bit. Of course, you have to align the template to your desired position first. After making electrical wire connections, installing the base was not that difficult. Before you start hanging the crystal strands, make sure to separate them into piles by the numbers 1 through 8. Also identify the crystal strands marked with a something like double arrow in the #3 and #6 (2 each) and #8 (1 stand). They have split “Y” shape wires to go on each side of the bulbs. After peeling the protective sheath, install the cover plate using the screws. Don’t install the bulbs yet. Start installing the strands from one end (five #1 strands). After you install the split-wire strand on #3 position, install the first bulb. Continue the process until you install all 80 strands and 5 bulbs. Instruction manual doesn’t give much details, but has a diagram illustrating how the strands are placed. “Threading” the split-ring through the hole in the shiny cover may be difficult if you don’t have fine motor skills ( it’s even more difficult with those cotton gloves: I used a pair of nitrile gloves). One important thing: do not use a sharp object (knife or scissors) to cut open the bubble wrap covering the strands. The coated wire is so fine and you could easily cut them. Best is to tear the bubblewrap open. Be very patient and don’t rush if you get neck strain while hanging the strands. Take a break and do it later. It’s worth it. Good luck

A: This is a chandelier fixture(bulbs not included), you can use any dimmer you like as along as it fits the bulbs and your wires.

**Q: Do I need professional to install?**
A: If you are not comfortable with wiring this chandelier, then yes, get a professional.  I am not in that category so it was no problem.  The main difficulty is hanging each of the beads.  I took about 3 days to finally get them all up.  Sometimes I would get one up then three would fall down.  But the work was worth it to me.  I am 72 years old and would buy this light again.

**Q: Does the light leave a shadow on a dining table?  We use the table for game nights and I was wondering if the shadows would make it difficult to see**
A: I just installed,. Beautiful fixture but got shadows on table.  I have White wood table.  I got GU 10 , 500 Lumens, 3000 K, 38 degree beam angle from Amazon.  I think I need to check other bulbs,. If you know what other Lumens bulb I can test,. PLEASE let me know.

totally in love with my new light . It really finishes my new dining room. If you want that clean modern look, you will not be disappointed in this light. I want to give some helpful hint when you are putting on the crystals with the wire. These crystals come individually wrapped and numbered. What I found, is that if you snip where the number is to open the packaging, it makes it easier. The wire is basically around the crystal with the end piece tucked in. Find that end and uncoil it and basically most of them just unraveled without too much trouble. I had some that were really tangled up and it took a while to unravel the wire. Each row you hang 4 crystals, following the guide to get the shape that is shown. I just unwrapped all four and then connected them to the fixture. One issue was that when you had the rows that were "REALLY" close to the bulb, that was not easy because there was not much room to get the ring from the wire with the crystal through. I have long nails, so it was a bit of a challenge. It took me about 2.5 hours to open and hang all the crystals doing it myself, but it is absolutely gorgeous. I have a dimmer and played with it to see what affect it had on the crystals. Even when I turned the light off, this was at night, you still could see a glimmer from the hanging crystals. Definitely worth the work. I hope the tips help and enjoy.
