It covers about half of the bottom of a 100 gallon tank. It smells very pleasant, does cause slivers, absorbs moisture and odor, and is a very reasonable price for the bag you’ll get. Helps snake shed their skin by providing a course surface to rub against to loosen and remove the skin. It’s reddish in color adding a little bit of atmosphere to your terrarium, sone contrast depending on the color of your snake, could also work as a hiding place again depending on the color of your amphibian.
