The knife is an old Imperial, likely worth very little but important to me. It was loaded with rust, grime, patina and everything else you might be able to think of. After I removed rust and gave it a proper polish, the final step was getting an edge on an uneven, slightly damaged and dull blade. This tri stone allowed me to get the knife's edge nice and sharp as it should be. I'd bet my grandfather is smiling down on me.The three stones, oil, angle and the provided instructions truly give you all that's needed to sharpen your pocket knives. I'm new to using whetstones and this could not have been any easier to use. The only thing the kit doesn't come with is patience. Some blades require more work than others to get that sharp edge.
