I organised a return but as it was xmas, I made an effort to fault find and repair. The issue was with the controller steering potentiometer. After a bit of fiddling, I got it to work. The actual car and controller are pretty good for a cheap RC car. The design allows for repairs and so longevity. I was pleased about that as it made the repair fairly easy. Spare batteries are appreciated as well.
