**Q: What are the ingredients?**
A: Soil Vigor ® is a Potassium based Super Absorbent Polymer that does not cause soil clumping,

**Q: Are there any plants that will get damaged from using this ?**
A: The main risk I can think of is root rot from constant exposure to damp pseudo-soil.I've had mixed luck myself using hydrogel. It does weird things to the roots. I think most roots are meant to grow in loosely damp soil that has some oxygen. If this gel touches a root, the root can't send out fine fibers in that direction. Because the gel is more often wet and that can make the roots get slimy. Maybe the root wasn't damaged but it was different. I would think it would be fine for bigger plants to mix with the soil around the sides and bottom of pot (like a wicking pot, actually {editing} that may be the perfect use for this stuff, just keep it away from the roots and I think it should be fine) but I'm still wary of using any more with small plants. I hope to find out decisively someday by running an experiment. But I had put some with turmeric tubers I was trying to start and the gel was wet while the tubers were drying out everywhere but next to the gel. And the gel was sticking to the tuber in a weird way so I thought maybe the gel was threatening to rot them.

This product is easy to use and will keep your outdoor planters, potted house plants, and even trees hydrated so you don't need to water as often. I used a product like this years ago in the dozens of 5" pots of edible flowers in my greenhouse when I had an organic farm, and it saved a ton of labor. There are no down sides to conserving water and reducing labor! Tip: put a few crystals in a glass of water overnight so you can see how much they expand. This will prevent you from using too much, which I have done way too many times, causing silly giant gel blobs to erupt from the soil. No harm done, but it's a waste of product. A little goes a long way.
