Well worth the money and the shipping. I've sometimes pre-treated them with the recommended silicone cement protector, and sometimes not. I think that has more affect on appearance than longevity. The newer coated ones look like brand new except some spots from coating, possibly need re-coating by now. The 25 year old one is fairly evenly duller and darkened.
