If you have played tickets to ride, you’ll pick this up quickly. If you have never played ticket to ride, you can pick this up in a half hour or so. We order this to the original, I think because the trains themselves are more fun to play with, but I C also like how much more variation you get on this map in terms of the routes to can make. The only negative is that because so many “expansions” are included, we have to sort through the destination cards each time to include only the ones we want. Also, the stations are a little fiddly in terms of their mechanic, so you should read and re-read the rules for them before your first game.

The Anniversary Edition of Europe is very similar to that original version, but different enough that it warrants having both of them . Anyone familiar with the original will have an easy time playing this version. The attention to detail in the Anniversary Edition are amazing: the immense amount of destination tickets: the very ornate game board: and most all of all, the insanely amazingly well done mini train cars that look like real train cars. When I saw the announcement in the spring for this new edition, I got very excited. Everything about the finished product met or exceeded my lofty expectations. Whether you are already a fan of the Ticket to Ride franchise, or are interested in getting into the game for the first time, you will not be disappointed in this edition of the game!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can i buy this version and use these  with the expansion games as well? or would i need the original europe or us version to use with expansion games?**
A: The only ‘game’ difference between this set and the basic Europe set is this is missing the 3 ‘extra’ trains in each color. The basic Europe set gives you a total of 48 cars per color but this gives you only 45 each. So, depending on the specific  expansion and the number of cars it requires, it may or may not be a problem. Also, the expansions come with the original train colors and shapes, so they won’t match the specialty shapes and colors in this deluxe set.

**Q: If I already have the original game and 1912, should I get this version?**
A: It mostly depends on how big of a fan you are.  I owned the original plus 1912 and still bought the anniversary edition.  You are only getting a few new cards.  It is mostly just fancier train and train pieces and a much larger and more ornate board.  I really like the anniversary edition and am glad I got it.  So far I have played the new version at home and used my old original one to take other places.

A: Yes it contains several expansions sets

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost as good as the original…

My family has played the US map/version of Ticket to Ride (TTR) for many years. I own the commemorative version (10th Anniversary edition) of TTR, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing it. I’ve played TTR Europe via the app on my iPad since it was first available. I say all of that to say, I’m no novice when it comes to TTR. First the positives…this commemorative edition (15th Anniversary) is absolutely gorgeous. The trains are very detailed, and each set has its own corresponding tin. The box is well designed and organized with a place for everything. The board is beautifully finished, and everything, including the Tickets and Train cards have a quality feel to them. The game itself is challenging and fun, but…. Negatives: While the addition of the Ferries and Stations make the gameplay different and challenging, the addition of the Tunnels (routes of unknown length basically) significantly slow down the whole game. It took us three hours to play one game and it became very frustrating, so we’ve decided as a family to remove the Tunnels from future games. The only other negative is re: the confusion of which Destination tickets to use (1912 version vs Big Cities version, etc). Basically, if your family likes games of strategy, this is definitely a game you should try! We love it!!
