Review: Amazing wheels for office chair! - These wheels saved me! I had purchased a beautiful new desk chair for my home office. My previous chair was worn out, but the wheels on it actually still worked well and didn't scratch my floor. I was so excited to put my new one together. The minute I sat on it I realized something was wrong. The chair itself was comfortable but the wheels didn't roll well. I put a deep scratch in my hardwood floor the first time I tried to roll! I started researching under desk mats for the chair but really didn't want to do that as none of the mats work that well and don't have great ratings. Then I saw a recommendation for these wheels. The reviews were near perfect and specifically said they worked well on hardwood floors and wouldn't damage it. I figured it was worth a try. I ordered them and they came the very next day. They were far easier to install than the wheels that came with the chair - I had a more difficult time getting original wheels off than installing these. The minute I sat on it I new they were right! The chair glides very easily and absolutely no damage to my floor. They are also very quiet! A couple things to keep in mind when ordering these - they are a bit bigger than the typical wheels on a desk chair, but it just means you need to adjust the height. They aren't as pretty as the original wheels, as my original ones were gold casters. These are black with clear wheels. They look fine, just not as fancy. I can definitely live with them not looking fancy since they are not damaging my floor. Finally, you have to get used to them, as they roll so well that if you are not careful, you might roll very quickly. Just keep your feet on the ground and not on top of your desk! **Q: Will these be suitable for carpet without needing a mat?**
A: I just received my wheels and I'm disappointed. Yes, they are much bigger and clear, as the description says; they feel like a rubbery material and they are single wheels vs. the ones that came on my recently purchased office chair which are a divided two piece wheels. However, they do NOT roll on carpet. And if you sit in one place for a couple of minutes you have to get out of the chair and pick it up to move it. On the positive side they don't roll around on the pIastic mat. I believe they would work great on a flat-glued down carpet like what you see in most large manufacturing facilities, but on plush pile carpet, they are no better than the cheap ones.

**Q: Do they work on vinyl plank floors.  is your floor floating or glued down?  got split rubber casters and they lifted the corners on my floating vinyl**
A: These will roll on anything, carpet, wood flooring, vinyl and i am pretty sure for a floating floor too they are awesome i will say that about 1000% better that the wheels that come with an office chair.

**Q: The wheels on my big and tall office chair make indentions on the laminate floor in my apartment. Will these castors prevent this?**
A: The best way to know, is to try them. I'm sitting in my chair while writing this, and there are no indentations in my hardwood floor. Hardwood is harder than laminate. The polyurethane wheels will give, so perhaps they may be an improvement over what you have on laminate.

**Q: Can this be used for a gaming chair?**
A: I’ve used these on 2 different office chairs. As long as the wheels on the gaming chair are standard then I would think so.

Wow! These wheels are amazing! I'm a fairly big guy at almost 200 pounds, but these wheels glide across the chair mat like I weigh a lot less. I tend to move around a lot at, going from my computer desk to my main desk, and with these wheels, the movement is effortless, quiet and smooth. Going from the old wheels (which were attached to a brand new chair) to these wheels is like going from a loud and bumpy dirt road to a newly paved stretch of highway. I highly recommend these wheels to anyone who spends a lot of time in an office chair!
