Very nice
These planters work very well and look great on the front porch. Looking forward to warmer weather so we can pull them out again.

Great for smaller spaces
It looks good. It’s small but works well in compact spaces. It’s a little tough to keep the end pieces aligned initially but it comes together with a little patience.

they look nice after resolving some issues
Item came within 2 days--nice compact package 5.5 1bs---they were easy to assemble--they look aesthetically nice-- dollar tree store planter fits the larger planter perfectly--for herbs, is why I chose this planter so as to be able to take the pot out and shelter against elements if needed(often these days)---the scrolls on the side are not necessary to put on, I used a needle nose pliers or jewelry crimper to attach them-- My biggest con for this item(and its a big con) is I could not get them to clamp on the railing of any size it just slips over the top off the rail, as there is no hook or vice clamp on the back to catch it on the rail---so what good is a rail planter that slides off the rail even without a pot in it---so I gave it a rating of 3 which could have been much better with a little functional technology--I would have gave it a 10 had they worked, they do look quite nice.--not sending back though , works well for my herbs------- what I did was search the other reviews--and thanks to other reviews I was able to improvise ---the smaller one I used rubber gripper, that seems to work pretty sturdy(I didn't try this on the larger planter)--the larger one I have zip tied on my mini green house--I think the larger could have used another attaching bar in the center--to ease weight--so I'm changing my initial rating from a 3 to a 4--yeah! thanks to reviewers I was able to make this work!

They’re okay
First, unboxing was a mess. All of the hardware spilled out of the little bag and they were everywhere. Ended up missing 1 round backplate. Also, the holes didn’t meet up on 1 side, so I also have a screw only halfway in. They probably look much better attaching to a thick wooden railing. As far as my banister, it has left an unsightly appearance on the inside of my porch. I’m trying to come up with something clever to cover them up. Anyway, they’re just okay. A bit cheap and flimsy. In hindsight, I would’ve spent a little more money for something better. Thanks for reading. :)

Cheap, rusts, doesn't stay on
I really wanted to like these because they were one of the few adjustable ones that would fit my deck railing. However, after a few months of use, I'm extremely disappointed. They don't stay on as designed, and I had to constantly adjust the knobs. I finally got frustrated and stopped adjusting, well that was a big mistake, because now the knob is rusted on the extender, and there's no more adjusting it, so it hangs at an angle. The round decorative side pieces fall off with the slightest touch. I got used to that, and am just real careful when near the planters if I'm watering or doing whatever, but the fact that they don't stay properly on is a real problem. And for them to rust this quickly? Just a waste of money.
