The FLM ball heads are well built and study. No slippage with camera body and lens left overnight on them.The largest lens I use on the 38mm is the canon 70-200 II 2.8 lens. I use Tamron 150-600 and Canon 200-400 II lenses on the 55mm ballhead or with a gimbal head. I use Canon full size bodies, 6D,5dsr and 1dx. The FLM ballhead maybe intimidating at first with the 5 control knobs but once you get used to the ball heads, they are easy and fun to use. If you want stability, you cannot go wrong with the FLM brand.These ballheads are not heavy yet do not compromise on stability.
