However, after a few days of trying out the ZeroTouch Air Vent Car Mount with my Samsung S6, I wasn't sold on it for the following reasons:- Having to hold my hand over my phone was actually distracting and it sometimes took a few tries to get ZeroTouch to wake up. I preferred the hand waving gesture to wake up ZT, but it was still sometimes hit or miss requiring several drive-distracting waves of my hand.- Once ZT recognized that I was trying to wake it up, there was a noticeable lag before ZT would speak the wake up greeting (I configured mine to "yo!" - a quick prompt). And the lag seemed even longer for Alexa commands, which kinda makes sense since ZT had to first recognize I was taking to Alexa and not ZT, then it had to hand off the command to Amazon's Echo cloud service.- That brings me to the fact that I was talking to two separate voice command systems - ZT and Alexa wasn't ideal - not a biggie, but I wish I only had to interact with just one voice assistant, and the hand-offs to other services would happen in the background.In the end, it felt like i bought an over-priced car vent phone mount. Yes, it had Bluetooth functionality in the mount so that the ZT app could automatically launch when you mounted your phone. However, in my case, my Camry has BT connectivity, so I could use a cheap, "dumb" vent mount and still automatically launch another driving app when my phone connected to the car's BT system (with a rule-based utility like Tasker for Android).ZT does have good support for handling messages - integration with WhatsApp is very nice! And ZT voice prompts if you want to read and subsequently respond to an incoming message. But I've had ZT get into a reprompt loop when an incoming message came while I was listening to talk radio and it was mistaking the radio host for my voice response.I ended up using Android Auto as my driving app that can auto launch upon connecting to my car's BT, and I can wake up Google Assistant by voice instead of a hand gesture. Plus it is one voice assistant who can handle in-car/on-phone commands as well as general commands and questions (ala Google) and home automation via Google Home.It's still not perfect, and Logitech still has an opportunity to improve the ZT app to make it the ultimate voice interface driving app. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing like commuting 20 miles and wondering more about your phone ... *by 5***2 on Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2016* Seriously? The woman of my dreams wouldn't have elicited such gushing!Scenario:Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with Otterbox Defender case2011 Subaru Forester XTMount placed on driver's side center vent right under the stereo.I have been a mechanical engineer for 35 years. With extremely limited insight on how this attached to the mount (I first saw it on the Logitech site and it links to Amazon), I wondered how this would mount to the base. It arrived yesterday and boy was I in for a surprise. Oh, here's this thin little glue tape strip on a metal strip to use if you wirelessly charge your phone. You also have to put it at the very bottom of the back. Now as a mechanical engineer, immediately saw a real possible issue with this. The definition of one of the simplest mechanical machines is a lever. "In order to reduce the force needed, the distance over which the force is applied must be increased." So now you have the phone attached by a magnetic force at it's lowest point in the back, thereby making the rest of the phone able to jar and break the force of the magnet. Nothing like commuting 20 miles and wondering more about your phone separating from it's mount than the volumes of traffic and constant traffic lights. It separated from the mount 3 times on the way in, and once on the way home. Luckily it fell into the console and not on the passenger side floor. I had had enough on the 4th fall, the one on the way home. How many times did it move and I stopped it from separating? I lost count. It would be easier to have had a suction cup windshield mount like my Garmin GPS.Some other issues-1) Seems to conflict with the vehicle bluetooth, something that this should not circumvent as the vehicle bluetooth is easily louder through the car speakers and better at easily better picking up vocals as opposed to a phone hanging by a magnet and far enough away from your ears and mouth with road noise to affect both.2) when installing, I did the wave to wake it, etc, but on the road, when trying to initiate a text, forget it. Maybe my Waze being constantly on had some conflict, but still...3) There were only two choices for music. No way to add other services, nor instructions to play other services already installed on my phone.4) I received a text which it read, but being that it was going through the phone and not the vehicle bluetooth, the sound was bad, as words were not distinguishable. It asked if I wanted to reply. How could I go wrong at least saying hello? It did not capture the dictation, issue the text.5) It blocks off a vent completely (air conditioning on an 80 degree day anyone?)6) As I went to grab is as the top bobbled around with each startup at a light, rounding a turn, numerous times it hit the knob and turned off the radioWho road tested this? F- grade. $60 dollars? $60 gets me more than a nicely made magnetic pad (The quality of the non-marring finish and it's grip of the vent are exceptional), an app (what do apps usually run on Google Player? A few dollars?), and a slick packaging box. It gets me stability and an app that ties in to the vehicle and seamlessly works.
