Review: The Best Earbuds I have ever used - I have been looking at Bang & Olufson sound equipment since I first read about them in the 70's. Back then They were out of my price range, but in the hi-end rooms they sounded very good. A few days ago I was looking to BUY something on Black Friday.. I came across the H-3 actually on sale. I am beyond pleased.I bought them. For Tech. Heads they just came in first in a Consumer study on earphones under $300.. Speakers and Head Phones have always been the heart of a good sound system..No matter how fancy The Gear your system will never sound better than your Speakers. I use the 65/45 plan when setting up systems 65% of cost Speakers 45% The rest. In Closing if you are looking for some good ear buds you found them.. Comfort I've had mine on 13 hours now, Range I have been running my music library through them, excellent separation, and a clean sound No Clutter or as Steely Dan put it No Static At All .

The third set was new, and immediately had issues with the crackling sound that the second one had. I do not recommend. Pros: Sound quality is absolutely outstanding. Even songs I'd listened to hundreds of times before had all the mix isolated and understandable. Very comfortable. Cons: Technical issues noted above. No clip?! Microphone is the worst in-line mike that I've ever used. Without question. Unusable for phone conferencing. Cord controls were chintzy. Verdict: If you'll treat these like fresh fruit and want high sound quality with no call ability, these headphones are for you. Otherwise, don't even think about getting these.

**Q: What exactly is the difference between this version and the 1. version?**
A: Hello, it is exactly as it is sounds, it is the "2nd generation", an upgrade version. Bang & Olufsen actually discontinued the manufacture of the first version. The specs are basically still the same, with 10.8 mm driver and micro bass port, 20-16.000 Hz frequency, with same microphone system, Micro-Electrical-Mechanical (MEMS) and 26 air vents. The biggest difference would be the colors, which they upgraded H3 Silver to Natural, and Gold is now Champagne (except black obviously is still black). Another difference would be the size, the first version was just a little smaller at 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.8 inches and 0.5 ounces, and now the 2nd generation is sized slightly larger 1.0 x 0.8 x 0.9 in and 0.56 oz. Overall, H3 2nd generations are again an upgrade to make H3 and other models easier to use and take to go. H3 2nd Gen. uses tangle resistant cord, in-line remote & microphone that has distinctive sensitive tactile controls, and an extra soft rubber earbud, available in different sizes (XS, S, M, L) to ensure a perfect fit for almost any ear size and shape. The diff. size earbuds, flight adapter, Quick Start guide, and Carrying pouch along with its 47" cable & 14" Micro USB charging cable which all comes in the box. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The h3's are much all around better for everyday listening

I had the hifi man re400 before these. The h3's are much all around better for everyday listening. The hifi man are sometimes a little too harsh in the high ends. The h3's also have much more bass. But not overwhelming. Much more fun to listen too. Sad thing is I go these when they were $200 but now the price has dropped $50! Get these you wont regret. The non tangle cable is so convenient too.
