Die Mörserschale aus Gusseisen ist auf einen robusten Holzkorpus aufgebracht. Das ergibt ein phantastisches Aussehen. Das Gusseisen ist hinreichend rauh, um Gewürze griffig durch den ebenfalls mit Gusseisen rauh bestückten Stößel zerkleinern zu können. Es ist auch genug Platz für eine größere Menge an Mahlgut, wichtig, wenn man mal ein Pesto von Hand selbst bereiten möchte. In der Küche ein echter Hingucker kommt man gar nicht auf den Gedanken ihn in den Schrank zu stellen. Ein tolles Küchenutensiel. Nach einigen Monaten der Verwendung kann ich sicher einschätzen, dass dies ein gelungener Kauf gewesen ist. Wacholderbeeren, Piment, Pfeffer, Pilze (getrocknet) oder frische Kräuter für ein Pesto zusammen mit Pinienkernen und Parmesan... alles lässt sich zerkleinern. Harry Potter würde für seinen Zaubertrankkessel selbst die Sopophorous beans erfolgreich zerquetschen können um einen perfekten Trank lebenden Todes zu brauen. Fünf fein gemahlene Sterne für diesen außergewöhnlichen Mörser.
