A: This model has a cheaper amp, the silver model has the better amp TI LM4562 x1, not sure about the chipset.

**Q: can this support 250ohms? I'm getting a headset set soon that's 240ohms and I wanted to make sure this amp can push this headset to its full potential**
A: This should be able to support up to 300ohms.

**Q: What to do when the mic port stops working?**
A: I would try to reinstall the drivers and then also try using another USB port. If these don't help the unit could be defective.

Ich habe ziemlich lange nach einer Möglichkeit gesucht, meine Magnat-Aktivboxen so mit dem PC zu verbinden, dass ich a) deren Digitaleingang nutzen und b) wahlweise einen Kopfhörer nutzen kann, und zwar auch mit normalgroßen Anschlussstecker. Der Syba schient mir einen Versuch wert, auch wenn es kaum Testberichte gibt. Die Lieferzeit des Syba betrug über 2 Wochen, was ärgerlich ist. Das Gerät selbst ist in ein Plastikgehäuse verbaut, der auf dem Gehäuse liegende Lautstärkeregler ist minderwertig verarbeitet und "knarzt" beim Drehen, wobei ich bei diesem Preis auch keinen Alps-Poti erwartet hätte. Das Gerät leidet aus meiner Sicht etwas an "Austattungsideen" wie einem Schalter an der Front, mit dem man zwischen neutral, Bassbetonung und Höhenbetonung hin und herschalten kann. Bass und Höhenbetonung - so man es denn will - geht nicht. Hinzu kommt noch ein Mikrofoneingang mit unklarem Zweck sowie die zwei gewünschten Kopfhörereingänge. Unter dem Drehknopf befindet sich eine Art Lichtorgel für alle möglichen Kontrollzwecke, etwa, ob das Gerät an USB angeschlossen ist (ohne Anschluss hätte es keinen Strom und würde nicht funktionieren ...) und einem flackernden Licht, wenn Signale durchgeleitet werden. An der Rückseite finden sich Stecker für zwei Digitalausgänge, ein RCA-Line-Ausgang und der Mini-USB-Eingang. Nach dem Anschluss an USB mit dem mitgelieferten Kabel wurde das Gerät sofort unter Windows 10 erkannt und eingerichtet, dort wird es als USB-SPDIF angezeigt. Folgerichtig konnte ich auch problemlos die Boxen über den digitalen Ausgang anschließen und alles funktionierte sofort - soweit so gut. Was in der Beschreibung im Netz nicht so steht, aber nicht ganz unwichtig ist: Der Lautstärkeregler sitzt im Analogteil und wirkt damit nur auf die Analogausgänge, also Kopfhörer und RCA out. Auf Digitalsignale wirkt er schlicht gar nicht. Damit kann eine digitale Lautstärkereduktion zwar nicht mehr den Klang verfälschen, seine Boxen muss man aber weiterhin über Fernbedienung oder Windows in der Lautstärke steuern. Zweite Überraschung: Schließt man einen Kopfhörer an, schaltet dies die Ausgänge nicht einmal optional stumm, will man "nur" über Kopfhörer hören, so muss man die Boxen extra ausschalten. Das Digitalsignal wird tatsächlich ganz "dumm" einfach von USB auf die Digitalausgänge durchgeroutet, irgendeine Art von Verarbeitung findet nicht statt - auch kein Abschalten. Der Kopfhörerverstärker selbst fällt für mich unter "in Ordnung". Ich habe zwei USB-Kopfhörerverstärker für andere Zwecke von FiiO Anden und Ultrasone NAOS. Mit beiden klingen die Kopfhörer deutlich besser (Sennheiser HD600 bzw. Meze Gold). Das war aber beim Preisunterschied und dem ganzen Spielkram, der im Syba verbaut ist, auch zu erwarten. Der Syba ist jetzt nicht gerade das Gerät, mit dem ich mit Genuss HD-Musik am PC hören würde, für Videokonferenzen, Computerspiele oder auch mal ein Youtube-Video ist der Ton aber völlig ausreichend und die Schwächen wären an billigerem Equipment wahrscheinlich gar nicht hörbar. Fazit: Pro: - Digitalsignale lassen sich von USB problemlos durchrouten - Es lassen sich Kopfhörer auch mit großen Steckern anschließen - Laustärkeregelung für Kopfhörer in Ordnung Contra: - Lautstärkeregelung wirkt nur auf Analogsektion - Verarbeitung könnte besser sein - Klang durchschnitt Für meine Zwecke ist das Gerät in Ordnung, wenn ich echtes Hifi haben will, kann ich einen anderen Verstärker nutzen und meine Anforderungen wurden (noch) erfüllt. Wer ein Hifi-taugliches Gerät haben will, sollte wohl besser etwas mehr Geld ausgeben.
