**Q: Will this hold different size pencils or markers?**
A: The holder works with any standard sized pencil or pen, but will not work with Jumbo or other oversized writing instruments

A: No, it doesn't 'punch' holes, but it will made a very small divot.  The point is very sharp and if on a solid backing it only leaves a tiny divot that can be seen if looked for.  Sometimes it's important so that the center can be found for other measurements & drawing.
