Thanks!** A: Because the Shield has a narrower slide, this Trijicon set will fit the rear dovetail but will be too wide for the slide (ie, it will overlap slightly). Also, because the Shield has a shorter slide, the front sight picture will appear wider then on a standard M&P 9/.40 (possibly a moot point simply because you'll be lining the dots up instead of relying on perfect sight picture).With that being said, they *WILL* work. Everything I've seen on the net has said they aim POA/POI quite well on the Shield.PS- If you don't have an installation tool, have it professionally installed! :) **Q: can I use these on a s&w M&p 9c?** A: Yes the dovetails on all the M&Ps are identical. I have them on my .40C, my Shield and I'm going to be picking up another set for a 9C that I recently aquired **Q: Will this fit the compact? M&P9C** A: They probably will not fit your M&P9C. The dimensions of the sights are specific to the M&P Shield's slide. They do however make virtually the same sights for the M&P Series. It's a different part # but looks and works just the same. Model (SA137Y: S&W HD Night Sight Set) by trijicon fits the M&P9mm & 40cal. series pistols. They illuminate as expected. If the luminescent paint on the front sight gets enough light exposure to charge, it really pops out. When it isn’t charged there is Tritium insert in the front sight so it’s good either way. Other reviewers stated that there were sharp edges on the sights. I haven’t experienced that, maybe they got lemons.I need to get use to the u notch instead of the square one. I wish that Trijicon offered it both ways. The sights are phenomenal though.If you have never changed your sights on your M&P, installation is not going to be easy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and Bright *by K***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2023* These sights are exactly what I wanted for my M&P SHIELD PLUS 9. I looked for a local gunsmith to install them but prices were ridiculous ranging from $25 which was reasonable but they were unable to do it when I showed up to $85 which I was able to find a site pusher cheaper for. I did the front sight with the site pusher The backside however the way it is tapered didn't give the pusher anything to grab onto. So I used a vine hammer and punch.
