The tool is sharp and makes reliable, repeatable connections ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for first-timers *by T***N on 2 April 2026* For my needs, especially as someone just getting into wiring up RJ45s, this tool is great. It trims the wires neatly, leaving them perfectly flush. It can be difficult to feed the wires through the crimp tool, as there are two areas that tend to snag them. This can be frustrating; more often than not, you'll need to pull the wires out, straighten them, and attempt it again. However, this could also be due to my inexperience and a natural learning curve. ​From what I can tell, the pins of the plugs get crimped very securely by the tool. The only consistently negative thing I have found is regarding the tool's collar retention crimp. When used, it is actually too shallow; it doesn't provide a snug crimp and instead leaves a rather messy connection behind.
