It's heavier and floppier than a weighted blanket. Don't lie on these directly skin-to-pad because you will stick to it and get uncomfortable. Don't stay on them too long because they'll heat up to your body temp and be ineffective. I highly highly recommend buying two smaller ones, not one large one, not only because they're dense and unwieldy, but so that you can switch off and allow one to cool you off while the other sits over there somewhere and dissipates its collected body heat. Also, you'll have more control over how much of your body is chilled at once. And if you buy more than one, you can put one in your dog's bed and help your pup cool off too.
