I have a 2022 Tacoma Off Road, and the model that I purchased (12 pin, Type A) was compatible with my year and make. Installation took 20 seconds, and that's not an exaggeration. The adapter is basically just a bridge/extension cable between the vehicle and the mirror, with a USB-C connection point spliced in between. Before this, I had a fuse tapped under the driver's side panel, and I never liked it because the "add a fuse" kit stuck out further than the OEM fuses, which made it impossible to put the cover for the fuse box back on. That bothered me. This thing fixed that problem. Best part is that you dont have to run wires/cables through your trim. If you've ever done that on a hot summer day, you know how miserable it can be. The USB-C extension port has a sticky side that I stuck to the back of my mirror so it isn't visible. All and all, I'd say this adapter is well worth the money, is built very well, and will save you the headache and time of running wires. I'm so happy with this, that I'm considering buying the adapter that supplies power while the vehicle is off.
