This is made for the outdoor AC condenser coils. They DO make one specifically for the evaporator (usually indoors) coils. It's listed near the bottom of the page in the 'comparisons' section. I'd go with that for the evaporator. **Q: Does Coil Safe dissolve hair and dust on the evaporator coil?** A: Coil Safe is not formulated to dissolve hair or dust on an evaporator coil. Evaporator coils are indoors and therefore, the chemicals used on evaporator coils must be safe and not corrosive. Over time, indoor coils will get a buildup of greasy grime. Coil safe is formulated to break down that buildup so it self-rinses off the coil as the liquid drains off the coil.
