In actuality, your edges are likely covered in resin.I always keep two pairs of shears handy - one pruning and the other soaking in alcohol. Simply use a sponge, or of your plants have a lot of resin, a piece of green Scotch Brite.With patience and an understanding of angles, you can also hone the blades easily with an emery board.I’ll be buying a second pair of these.
