Review: You Will Love This Classy Well Designed High Quality Bookcase! - Putting together your own bookcase is interesting and normally I have someone else put together furniture. This time I wanted to surprise my husband by getting everything done by myself. I'm over 55 so this was a little more effort because I had to sit and rest in between exertions. First you have to get everything out of the box and then you have to use a screw driver and Allen wrench to put the bookcase together. Frankly I found the instructions easy to follow and all the items needed were well labeled in little bags. Yes they actually include a screw driver and Allen wrench which was very helpful! One person can put this together by themselves but two people would make it slightly easier. The pieces of wood were perfectly packaged so there was no damage. I used those "moving men" sliders to move the heavy about 40 pound box into the living room and then I used them again to move the whole bookcase into the office. The one thing I didn't have was the hammer they suggested using to knock in the little feet for the bottom of the shelves. I used my regular hammer which I put two napkins over and fastened it all with some packaging tape. That worked. I take no responsibility for you if it doesn't work for you. :) For me it was an easy solution and I didn't have to buy a second softer hammer. So yes, I'm very happy with this and now I put about 93 books on the shelves and it is holding up well and I'm pleased to have my own little library of books to read in my office. ~The Rebecca Review

**Q: Why is the 5 tier way more expensive than the 6 tier?**
A: Supply and demand.

**Q: I should've asked this the first time. no kids or pets, but a carpeted apartment. do i need to use anti-tip? not sure i can pound into the walls.**
A: You are fine then. I don't have mine secured, it is on a carpeted floor and full of books and other items. No issues.

**Q: Do you need to use the anti-tip device? I live in an apartment and not sure I can pound into the walls.**
A: I don't have the 5 tier model, only the 4 tier. Mine is on a table and just fine.
You could place small wooden wedges under the front edges so the shelf leans towards the wall and also keep the heaviest items close to the bottom/as far back as possible.

**Q: Does it come in white or gray?**
A: I don't know but wouldn't get it. I got it and it was so hard to put together. Their were missing pieces and when I got it partially put together it broke. I returned it.

Great bookshelves for my babies nursery! The only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is because it was smaller than we expected :/ It was easy for my boyfriend to set these up, we got the 2 pack. We converted these bookshelves into a “closet” for our baby because her parents took up the 2 closets in the house… these shelf’s were perfect for her things! My boyfriend and I are short people (5’3”) so the height of the shelf’s ended up not being a problem in the end but if your tall don’t expect them to be taller than you. The quality of the shelf’s are great for the price we paid and I’d recommend using the wall anchors for security of placement!
