In 2 years, I have never been able to successfully untangle, rewind, and reload the 2-line spool. It always just came down to a lot of cursing and throwing the spool away. This item was noted that it fit "some" B&D electric trimmers, and I couldn't find any other replacement spool thingies for them. It arrived quickly, well-packaged, and then it all went downhill. The instructions seemed to have been for a different item as they discussed gas trimmers. There was NO mention of how to use it on a B&D electric trimmer, so I did some head scratching and improvised. I got the ding-dang thing installed, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'm guessing that it, too, will work for a while then go haywire. In that case, I plan to go to a gas trimmer from a lawn care - equipment dealer. While the replacement head indicates it was for an electric trimmer, there were no instructions for the head... Gator should have identified which electric trimmer this worked with, instead they want you to do their job.
