Review: Worked well to fix all of our window screens - Our home has Peachtree casement windows, and the screens have all started falling out when a window is open and the wind blows. Reason is the screen springs seem to have lost their strength after 20 years and aren't holding the screens fully locked into the channel that secures them. I tried bending around on the old springs to get them to work again, but this didn't really seem to help. They seemed too "soft" -- had lost their strength to hold their shape. These clips didn't perfectly fit my screens, as the mounting tang for my screens required a 90 degree bend, where these have a 180 bend where they mount. I tried bending the clip to be a 90, but they can't take it and snap. Instead, I found that I could slide these into the screen frame as is by doing a simple modification to the screen's mounting hole with a Dremel. So I guess these were not 100% compatible with my screens, but I was able to make them work. It was worth the extra effort, though, since the clips seem to be a stronger spring steel than the original clips, and they hold the screens snugly in the mounting channel now. Hooray! Problem finally solved! I bought 2 more packages so I can retrofit all the windows in my 2nd floor and basement as well. Review: Perfect - My screen in my sunroom was loosed and had lost its plastic locking latch. These worked perfectly to hold the screens in place.
