To be honest I had no faith that this would work but actually where I'm applying it that very large dark spot has already lightened up around the edges. I leave this out and every time I walk by it I apply a little bit more all day long. I am going to order more of this so that I can put it on all the spots. It has a very nice gel consistency to it. I just take a little drop and rub it onto that very large spot that's on my face and let it dry and then I put moisturizer over. It remains to be seen if it totally removes it but the fact that it's lighter is very helpful because my makeup can cover it.
