A: The hose can definitely be above the intake valve. 3 feet will be fine

**Q: Will this work for a pool sand filter? To remove the sand to change it**
A: This is made specifically for use with water and not debris removal.

**Q: Can you post the link to the attachment that would be needed to attach this to a garden hose?**
A: Our discharge tube has a 1-5/8" Diameter. We don't have an adapter from the tube to a garden hose. If you contact us directly, we can cut a longer custom length discharge hose if the 6 ft tube is not long enough.

**Q: Can Can you attach a regular hose with a nozzle to this?you attach a regular hose with a nozzle to this?**
A: It could be adapted to hose thread by using some barb fittings and adapters (sold separately).
