Thanks** A: Has 2 posts on back : one is + one is - It has one more small connection for the internal light. Placed ours inside of 2" plastic pipe: it's a perfect fit. Black outer ring (as shown in pic) is 2 and 1/4" Have used them for years on all of our vehicles (not boats) ; they're all still functioning. Be sure to put "fuse" inline to the gauge. I like the internal lighting. Accuracy is acceptable (considering price). Folks installing these have to know where to tap into the vehicle's electrical system to get a 'best' system voltage reading.
