No you can't connect welding leads to the speaker terminals and weld with it. But for the price point it does pretty well, depending on ones expectations. If your operating on a pyramid cash flow and need a good 4 channel amplifier for full range sound. Then step up to this and get a much cleaner and clear sound (not wide open volume), LoL. It will give you better than double the power obtainable from a quality 4 channel high powered head unit cleanly. I wish amplifier manufacturer's would rate wattage ratings more inline with the products capabilities, but this is an age old problem for decades, so don't be surprised when an amp won't come remotely close to it's wattage ratings. I guess if they rated it correctly no one would buy it in hope for a super product for very little money. Too good to be true; it usually isn't. In this case the amp isn't cheap shoddy build quality. Yes they could have added higher value capacitors, but it has enough to be clean sounding. The amplifier manufacturer's are not going to build a super superior product for all but nothing as they have to operate on price point as well. To me ask yourself how much amp and what you want to do with it to determine if this product is for you and within a given budget. Keep in mind those numbers will drop when an amp is installed in a car because your only going to about 13.4 to 13.9 V to the amp and that"s if everything is the right size and grounded properly. As a rule of thumb a single 30-amp fuse means that the amplifier can produce 300 watts of power at most. A60 amp fuse will make 600 watts plus or minus 10-20 depending on the quality of the amp. The quality of this amp is crap it may have 2 30A fuses but makes no where near that power. At 2 ohms it makes about 100 watts per channel. The 2 30A fuses making 600 watts doesn't account for the total efficiency. This amp is about 70 efficient which is awful ! If you plan on using this to power 4 door speaker at 4 ohms 65-70 watts it will work just fine because guess what those 6.5" 500 watt speakers lied about the power handling too.
