## Description

This Spears 854-020 schedule 80 PVC Class 150 Van Stone flange fitting has a 2" socket opening and is suitable for joining pipes or valves in a piping system or attaching a pipe to a flat surface or flange. The socket opening connects to pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow, and the bolt ring on the Van Stone flange rotates independently of the hub to aid in bolt alignment during installation. This flange fitting is made of gray PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal. It is compatible with schedule 80 (thick wall) PVC pipes and fittings, and is suitable for chemical processing, industrial plating, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, and chemical drainage and wastewater treatment systems. A: 2 inch outer diameter

**Q: I just want to provide a footer for a 2" O.D. pipe; just support no flow.  Is this item suitable?**
A: If you are bolting down then yes. If not use a 851-020

**Q: Is this plastic?**
A: Yes its PVC schedule 80 plastic

**Q: Will a 2” pipe pass through this? or does the pipe need to be cut and attached to both sides?**
A: No. A 2" pipe or male spigot fitting will insert on one side. A 4-bolt pattern flange is required to meet up to the other side.
