If you are like us and go through phases of playing one game a lot, sometimes they can get a little stale even though you are having fun. 7 Wonders Duel is one of those games for us that we find ourselves playing a lot in a short amount of time sometimes. The Agora expansion is a nice addition to really freshen up the play, as it is a good diversion from the standard gameplay. If one of the players decides to start going in on the Agora mechanic, it forces the other player to divert their attention to it as well so that they are not swept away by it (similar to other factors in Duel). The mechanics of it though are different than anything else in the game, so it is cool to add it in. I would say it is probably best for medium - experienced players of Duel and not really necessary for beginners.
