Because essential oils are so expensive (price/oz), it would be a waste to use them unless there is a particular scent that you want and are not concerned about the oil absorption. Plus, the bins in both the Rainbow and Rainmate are plastic and as such will "cloud" over time when using essential oils. It is recommended to only use oils formulated for use in the Rainbow products. **Q: Can i choose the fragrances?... pine, eucalyptus, berry & fresh** A: No, the set is pre made **Q: Does Eucalyptus at least come in this pack for sure?
