As far as function, it can then turn that mechanic work into electrical energy through the small generator via an light an led it comes with it. You can also reverse the leads on the led light to show resistance which slow the engine. It serves no practical real life application other that to teach and it has definitely stuck up several conversations and intrest by others who see it and are curious. When they see it run properly they are shocked at the speeds in which this tiny little engine operates. Even more surprised when they learn the rmps are laughable compared to an internal combustion engine for in their cars. 5/5 for one who's interested in seeing and educating others on the principles of a heat engine. **Q: Does anyone know how to replace the glass element, I don't see any set screws or any kind of joint for disassembly.
